Why A Board Game Cafe?
It’s no secret that board game cafes have been popping up all over the country. In Raleigh, Cary and the Triangle, there were board game nights, but there wasn’t a dedicated board game bar. While board game nights at bars would happen from time to time, you had to fit those nights into your schedule. At local game stores with board games, the lack of food meant interrupting game play even for a quick run to a fast food restaurant. By creating Cary’s first board game tavern, people are free to come play board games any day or night, enjoy a meal, and even some beer or wine. Because we charge a $5 venue fee, we are able to keep up with the newest board games, while maintaining our existing games. We have a membership for avid players as well, starting at $15/month to allow our patrons to enjoy our games whenever they want without needing to worry about the venue fee each time they stop in.
